Premiership leaders Bath have signed Argentine full-back Santi Carreras from Gloucester in a deal which will start at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old full-back has been a star performer for the Cherry and Whites this campaign, helping lift Gloucester up to third in the table.

Having made his international debut for the Pumas in 2019, Carreras has gone on to represent his country 53 times, including at the 2023 World Cup in France.

During his time at Kingsholm, Carreras has scored 256 Premiership points including 21 tries, was voted the coaches’ player of the season during the 2022-23 campaign and helped Gloucester to the European Challenge Cup final last term.

“The club is in a really exciting phase, with world-class players, coaches and the development of a new stadium. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead,” Carreras told Bath’s website, external.

“Santi is a starting Test player and one of the main reasons for signing him is his versatility along with his game-winning abilities,” Bath head coach Johann van Graan added.
