Beautiful even if you don't understand it!
I was given this by my French family as a teenager on a French exchange programme in 1994. I didn't understand a word but fell in love with it anyway!
I found this album for the girl I fell in love with knowing only the first tune, which she loved. Once heard on the radio I kept repeating the name of that tune, not even knowing French. Went to the music store, asked for Celine Dion albums and somehow found it.
We are still together. It's our 17th anniversary.

The true Celine Dion
This album is much more widely recognised amongst Celine's Francophone fans, in fact it is the best selling French album of all time ...but Anglophones don't be put off! This CD really shows Celine at her best, vocally and lyrically. Even if you don't understand the lyrics, the melodies and sheer beauty of Celine's voice captivates in tracks like La Memoire d'Abraham, J'attendais, Je Sais Pas and the famous Vole written for her niece who died of cystic fibrosis which is one the most moving tracks ever written. She somehow manages to capture several notes at a time and work them together stunningly. Le Ballet shows Celine's jazzy side and you can just imagine her singing it in a smoky Paris bar.
However the undisputed classic in this album is Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore, generally regarded as one of the most beautiful love songs of all time and one of Celine's personal favourites. Moving lyrics and a light but soulful melody.
The most beautiful and soulful album from the greatest voice of our generation, one that everyone should hear and an absolute must for any Celine fan. A true diva in the best possible sense.
what a singer and what a true diva
what a voice dont know what she is singing but you should listen
