Each local radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station “Format/Key Commitments”, a document issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.

Operational Information

Transmission: DH ONE (Digital Hits One) broadcasts on 100.5 FM from our mast on the mendips we are however currently not broadcasting on DAB across Somerset.

DH ONE (Digital Hits One) is also available via online digital media streaming using either the station own websites audio player (listen/popup) or utilising third party applications such as Alexa, TuneIn, simply search “Digital Hits One” within your preferred application.

Alternatively you can receive DH One (Digital Hits One) via any internet equipped radio.

DH One (Digital Hits One) broadcasts local news bulletins from 6am to 7pm on weekdays and 7am to 6pm on weekends. National news is broadcast 24 hours a day 7 days a week. These bulletins contain a mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news.

Additional bulletins will be added in light of breaking news. Local travel information is broadcast between 6am to 9am and 4pm to 7pm Monday to Friday.

Digital Hits One in-house news coverage operates 6 days a week.

Events/ Charities Support or Coverage

DH One (Digital Hits One) is proud supporter of Children’s Hospice South West, Rotary Club, Lions Club and Digital Hits One Christmas Toy Appeal.

If you have a charitable or not-for-profit event you wish the station to broadcast on-air FREE of charge please use our Charity Events Submission page.

All events submitted will be subject to verification that they are charitable and not-for-profit before broadcast.

Ideally we would like these submitted 2 or 3 weeks before the event start date to allow us to maximize the events on-air exposure.

Station Format

Our programming is produced and presented locally from our studios in North Somerset. DH One (Digital Hits One) automates some aspects of programming using computer technology.

There is automation between 7pm and 7am Monday – Thursday, Friday 10pm – 7am, 6pm Saturday until 7am Sunday and 3pm Sunday until 7am Monday. These times are subject to change.
