PM under pressure to concede more ground to Brussels over Brexit

Boris Johnson is reportedly coming under pressure to give more ground to Brussels as efforts continue to try to reach a Brexit agreement before an EU summit later this week.

UK and EU officials will resume talks in the Belgian capital today with the prospect of an agreement in time for Britain to leave with a deal on October 31 in the balance.

The EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier said “technical-level” talks between officials over the weekend had proved “constructive”.

Teen held after man, 20, dies amid spate of London stabbings

A teenager has been arrested after a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in southeast London amid a spate of stabbings in the capital.

The victim was found with a stab wound to his chest after police were called to reports of a fight in a street in Bexley on Sunday afternoon.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he died later. A 17-year-old has been arrested and remains in custody.
